Are we really asking for too much? We wanted an apron front sink, reminiscent of the farmhouse style that has remained popular since it’s origination in Italy. We finally found the sink our clients and we were searching for, and simply had to do a formal review of the item. Three of our staff members were looking for a product for three similar design projects. When one of us found this Kohler beauty, it was done deal for all three clients. Of course the clients, homeowners, fell in love with the look, as did we. But as designers, we know to look for things that homeowners often place in the back of their mind. The most impressionable part of this remarkable design is it’s apron front. This apron is important to homeowners for two reasons. First it is contemporary and works in any sort of modern or minimalistic space. It has the obvious stainless steel composition, which is in and of it’s self, very contemporary, but it has also received a light brushing making it highly textural. The sink also includes an under the counter design, which most apron fronts do (but not all) lending even more to a contemporary look. But what adds even more interest is the softening to the design by the curvature.
