Kitchen Remodeling – Seamless Combination

remodeled kitchenIn the new remodel the home owners wanted the cabinets to be the main focus of the kitchen. They decided to choose a sleek cherry wood with a gloss finish for the cabinet doors. To give the seamless look they are no corners in the kitchen all the angles are rounded and there is no design in the doors. In two of the cabinets glass doors with built in lighting were installed. This is a perfect place to keep glasses and other kitchen item that you may want to keep on display, not everything in the kitchen needs to be hidden. These cabinets add lightness to the kitchen that can not be achieved with just wood or other materials.

The appliances were chosen in a classic white. The microwave was built into to upper cabinets with the stove directly underneath. The microwave also doubles as an air exhaust. So there is no additional one needed.

Remodeled kitchen: sleek cherry wood cabinets, classic white appliances, stainless steel single basin kitchen sink, contemporary faucet and grey gray counter top.

For the hardware they used single line handles in stainless steel. This was to go along with the kitchen sink and faucet. The sink that as chosen was the stainless steel single basin kitchen sink. This sink as noted from the picture is not built under the counter, but rather has a lip that sits outside on top of the counter. The faucet that was chosen was a stainless steel faucet with a 3 hole installation, meaning that it needs a separate hole drilled for each of the water lines, one for cold one for hot and one for the faucet. When purchasing a sink it is important to note what kind of faucet goes with the sink, if it has the faucet hole pre made as in the case with some sink with outer edge or if the faucet hole is made in the counter. There is also a matching soap dispenser built in.

To make the stainless steel kitchen sink less noticeable and to blend it in with the rest of the kitchen a gray counter was chosen in the shade of the stainless steel. The pain was also chosen accordingly in a gray shade. As you may notice on top there is a matching border of gray and black.
