BlancoClassic-Box Stainless Steel Sink with Colander and Waste Bin

We received a Blanco product in the mail for a recent client.  When we ordered it, the pictures simply didn’t do justice.  The design is incredibly stylish and the best about the sink is how multipurpose it is.  The reason we ordered the BlancoClassic-Box Stainless Steel Sink with Colander and Waste Bin by Blanco Germany was because our client was downgrading the size of her space and wanted to do away with her wood, built in cutting boards.  She wanted something that would save counter space, but be close to the sink, and most of all, she stressed that she wanted either metal or plastic, but not wood because of it’s porous surface.  Fortunately one of our project managers found this remarkable piece of work from Blanco.  Blanco is a company that we regularly use.  They are a German line of products that focus on functionality but use the finest materials.  Any client that we have suggested for the line absolutely loves the product.

The BlancoClassic-Box was chosen because it meets every need the client had conveyed to us, plus our high standard of quality.  Because interior designers rely on repeat business and word of mouth, you will rarely find a designer that isn’t quality focused.  This design features a very rare combination of culinary tools essentially “under one roof.”  The BlancoClassic-Box includes a waste kit that pops up, a waste chute, a waste chute lid, the waste bin, a stainless steel colander, and wet area.  This product truly works wonders for those who love to cook, but need everything in one smaller condensed area.  This could be because of a smaller space, or a need to have everything at your fingertips – even in a large kitchen.  The prep area features the classic stainless steel construction formed into a ridged pattern.  This area can house vegetables waiting to be washed and prepped, or the cutting board used to prep them for easy rinsing.  Our client purchased the optional cutting board, which it plastic and is not porous – a breeding ground for germs and bacteria.  This area is also slightly sunken so that liquids from rinsed veggies or other liquids can easily be swept into either the sink of the waste chute located adjacent to this area.  The colander area is especially handy because it is custom made to fit the smaller sink.  Because it is located right next to your prep area, foods can be easily cleaned and returned to the prep area for your meal.  The colander is included at not additional price.  The waste chute is located next to the prep area and below the colander.  This is especially convenient when you need to slide waste directly from the prep area into the trash, without dripping water all over the floor.  We have all peeled potatoes and then dripped water on our way to toss the disregarded skins!  And Blanco has thought of everything.  They couldn’t have an open pathway from the trash to your living area could they?  Of course they couldn’t.  They also include a matching lid to shut off the trash area eliminating the possibility of other food smells from the trash area.  But to up the bar one more level, they even include the trash bin complimentary with your purchase!  Our client literally had everything she needed to have this kitchen wonder installed in minutes. 

To the farthest right of the product is the full sized sink area.  Our client (as well as ourselves) was pleasantly pleased to find that the actual sink was both large and deep, allowing for maximum usage.
